Nordic Newsletter_dec21

Dear Nordic BTA Member,

It is with heavy hearts that we have come to a decision to postpone the Nordic Business Travel Summit by a year. The pandemic situation is not getting better anytime soon, and running an event of the NBTS caliber just does not seem the right thing to do in early 2022.

The dates for #NBTS2023 are March 21 - 22. Mark your calendar already now - and please rest assured that in the meantime, we will be working on interesting topics both on a Nordic and national level in each Association!

Upcoming events

A team of dedicated Meetings enthusiasts has been working on a Meetings Workshop in early 2022. Led by SBTA’s Chair, Dentsply Sirona’s Bobbi Djordjevic this pan-Nordic group will create an interactive virtual event for our buyer members. Stay tuned for more information right after the year change.

Nordic Business Travel Report

One of the more exciting things we are planning just now is a Nordic Business Travel Report. Inspired by our German sister association VDR, who publish a thorough study of the value of business travel annually, we are looking into the possibility of creating a Nordic study in 2022. Carried out with proper research criteria, our aim is to find out how important business travel is to DK/FI/NO/SE economies.

In order to finance the report, we will be accepting a handful of thematic partners among our supplier members. A thematic partner will get to add a defined number of questions in the survey and receive the full results before the report will be published. More information about this opportunity will follow soon.

GBTA News

We are pleased to inform that all four Nordic Business Travel Associations have renewed our partnership agreements with GBTA from 1.1.2022 on. Being a partner in GBTA brings benefits for the associations as well as for our members, and connects us all with a global network of Travel and Meetings professionals.

A new network in Europe

This exceptional time in the history of business travel has brought something good, too. Several business travel associations in Europe are in discussions around closer cooperation with the aim to create a stronger voice in Europe. We’ll keep you updated on the developments.
With this newsletter we wish all our Nordic BTA Members a peaceful, merry Christmas and a very happy New Year. We’ll be back in 2022!
