EU-komissio ei hyväksynyt 23.5. pidetyssä kokouksessaan European Banking Authorityn (EBA) ehdotusta uuden maksupalveludirektiivin (PSD2) tekniseksi standardiksi sellaisenaan, vaan on halukas ottamaan huomioon myös FBTA:n ja GBTA:n voimakkaasti ajaman kannan, että yritysten välisiin etämaksuihin ei tulisi soveltaa asiakkaan vahvan tunnistamisen (SCA) vaatimusta.

Will 2018 bring a change to business travel accounts?

The Payment Services Directive (PSD2), which is currently being drafted in the EU, is expected to enter into force in January 2018. Strong Customer Authentication, developed to secure remote payments for consumers, threatens to scrap the travel account as a payment solution for businesses if it is extended to B2B transactions.
