The Nordic Business Travel Summit (NBTS25) is the annual powerhouse of the Nordic business travel industry, a major event that brings together buyers and service providers from across the Nordic region to discuss the latest developments and future prospects for the industry.

But the Brussels-based group has urged the commission to go further and introduce “mandatory exemptions” to stop travellers having to complete Posted Worker and A1 forms when going on short-term business trips. Posted Workers are sent to work in other EU countries by their organisations on a temporary basis, while the A1 form provides proof of payment of social security in another member state.

Short-term business trips should be completely exempted from the Posted Worker and A1 form requirements, and the digitisation of longer trips should be mandatory across all member states.”
